Anyone think that Anet will use the Medals of Honor when they move to Factions and Nightfall or create a different item to serve the same purpose?

This is of course assuming they add more commemorative weapons at the end of each segment.

You can't get stuff with Armbraces only in Nightfall.

They are basically the same: 'Elite' trophies.

I doubt so too. Medals of Honor are a pretty Shining Blade-type thingy (as are Confessor's Orders, Royal Gifts, and War Supplies). My guess is the Canthan portion will have different rewards and trade-ins.

i do like the idea of seeing jade orbs again tho. Maybe since they no longer have a use we'll get to see these and use them again? that'd be cool atleast in my opinion

MoH make me mad..i got 3 of them from gifts trying to get minis... and i dont have NF/EotN. so i have 3 MoH and cant turn them in/sell/or even give them away!

agreed, i'd like to see the one-time items that some people still have (i dont)
and since they fit in cantha, anet wont need to change them, as they would be for a collector (kinda), and they were when they existed

they look funny, they are canthan, they are useless at the moment
gimme 1 reason why it shouldn't be the next item for the next content, in cantha

only the wiki page should be clear on em, so that it says that these were used for something before, but also what they are for after the cantha content

it shouldnt confuse new players

Even though I like the idea, I wouldn't add this since this item would give some people advantages (those who saved stacks etc)

I believe everyone should start from scratch - that means a completely new item like Medals of Honor.

I wouldn't count on it. Expect an entirely different reward. A token of your achievements in Kryta should not have transferable value to what you've done for the sake of Cantha.

The luck factor on getting a mini from royal gifts is crucial, don't waste your money on them by buying them in order to get the mini. Trust me, it is cheaper to just buy a mini from another player.

Unless they change this, which would mean the items wouldn't stack between chapters, I say no.

Same goes for War Supplies.

I'd rather see the Jade Wind Orbs see a return. Though if Anet continues on the (interesting yet silly) theme of giving items descriptions, more than likely, any pre-existing Jade Wind Orbs won't be useable.

Hell, I'd love to see anything that was removed or unimplemented for various reasons be (fixed and) return.

You all made good points that I didn't consider when posting originally. I didn't consider the lore or any of the specific details of war supplies and MoH. Thanks for your quick repsonses to this.

I hope Anet makes some amazing skins for Cantha since I wasn't overly impressed with the Oppressor weapons.

Do the bounties for the War Supplies, and turn them in for Medals of Honor. Rinse/repeat until you have enough to trade in for something else.

Not only it wouldn't make sense, also keep in mind Anet has a philosophy of generating heavy inventory pressure when adding new content - they add a variety of things we hate to have to keep, that would be too valuable to just trash but at the same time impossible or very hard to sell. So we will likely see not 1 but at least 3 different kinds of new stackable rewards and a ton of other things which are just more of the same what we already have but with a different look/skin and name. /rant

I really do wish they'd stop making stuff that is identical in function to already existing items that just take up more space in my inventory.
Why do shining blade rations need to exist when I already have wintergreen candy canes? They should have at least just named them "rations" so that they could stack with rewards from the Canthan beyond project.
Heck, Cantha's "royal gift" equivalent should just drop the rare exclusive rewards (ie minipets) plus stuff that is stackable with things we already have (like Nicholas rock candies or honeycombs). If there is another "Emperor's Fried Chicken: +5% morale to your whole party" item, I'm going to be ticked

Exactly...It takes so much place while almost having the same effect.

However they should create a Medal of Honor equivalent (the description of MoH says it all).

let it be blue or red ones then, and change the name

its true, people keep the stacks and can get alot while most others gotta start over, and this game is full of elitism (in all forms) already

i do hope they give the old ones a collector for something nice, maybe not rare, like some new consumables, which stumme mentioned

anyway, i also like to see it untradeable, and the way it is in War in Kryta

seeing the WiK ones, it shouldnt be much different, except that it should be some "symbol" of cantha, as it is from cantha, and i like the form of the jade wind orbs, personally

you cant get the bounties unless you can get into the keep... you cant get in the keep if you havent seen all the dialogues. you cant see all the dialogues if you dont have EOTN.... read my post carefully..

I thought it was if you beat prof OR eotn
